After 6 long weeks of hearing "I'm bored", finding mysterious empty snack wrappers around the house, acting as a 24/7 taxi service, referee, chef, entertainer, and somehow still going to work... you've made it! 🎉👏
As many children head back to school this week, we'd like to offer a huge congratulations to the real heroes of the summer holidays... the parents! 🏆

Now that schools are back, we'll once again be seeing larger groups of young people gathering in local shops and around bus stops, particularly in the Market Place and surrounding areas.

👉 Parents, please take a few minutes to give your children the traditional "back to school pep talk": 
✅ Be respectful
✅ Be considerate of others
✅ Keep noise and litter to a minimum
✅ Stay out of trouble
✅ Remember that school uniform doesn't make you invisible!

Let's start the new school year the right way and keep our town welcoming for everyone.

Our officers will be out and about during school travel and "school kick-out" times, engaging with young people and helping to tackle any anti-social behaviour. Where necessary, we won't hesitate to take appropriate action, including issuing ASB warnings and orders.

We'd much rather be handing out smiles than paperwork, so let's all work together to make this a positive start to the school year. 😊
